Senior Structural Design Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Our client Matco Structures & Consulting Ltd is seeking a senior structural design engineer to deliver safe, efficient and cost‑effective structural solutions for residential, commercial and industrial projects. The position is fully remote and does not include team‑management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis and design for various building types using established engineering principles.
• Create accurate structural drawings and documentation in AutoCAD to meet client specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and clients to ensure safety, durability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Review project specifications, codes and regulations to guarantee compliance throughout the design process.
• Conduct feasibility studies and propose design alternatives to optimise performance and reduce costs.
• Prepare and present technical reports, calculations and project updates to stakeholders.
• Support construction teams on site by resolving structural design issues.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in structural analysis and design.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and project management.
