Senior Enterprise Architect – Cloud, Data & AI

About the role

The Enterprise Architect is a senior leader responsible for defining, governing and evolving the end‑to‑end technology architecture across infrastructure, data, AI/ML and platforms. The role ensures a modern, scalable, secure and cloud‑ready landscape that enables data‑driven decision‑making and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain target architecture for infrastructure, platform, integration, data and AI, including principles, standards and reference models.
• Establish architecture guardrails to promote standardisation, data quality, AI readiness, automation and security by design.
• Drive modernisation initiatives across cloud, hybrid and on‑prem environments to support advanced analytics and AI workloads.
• Collaborate with data architects and engineers to ensure highly available, resilient and cost‑optimised data platforms.
• Lead evolution of enterprise infrastructure for scalability, performance, AI compute, storage modernisation and cybersecurity.
• Oversee lifecycle of key platforms such as virtualization, Kubernetes/OpenShift, cloud services, storage and enterprise databases.
• Guide selection and implementation of infrastructure and cloud technologies that support AI acceleration and distributed computing.
• Develop capacity planning, business continuity and disaster‑recovery strategies for critical platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 15+ years in infrastructure, data or platform engineering/operations, with 5–7 years in architecture leadership.
• Proven experience defining enterprise‑wide infrastructure, platform, data and AI architectures in complex hybrid environments.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking and cross‑functional leadership skills.

• Cloud platforms: Azure, OCI, AWS.
• Container platforms: Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins.
• Operating systems and databases: AIX, RHEL, Oracle Database.
• Storage and networking solutions: Dell EMC Storage, Pure Storage, Data Domain, Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint.
• Security and governance: zero‑trust architecture, DevSecOps, container security.
• Architecture frameworks and certifications: TOGAF, AWS/Azure certifications (optional).
