Information Technology Support Engineer

About the role

The organization is looking for an experienced Information Technology Support Engineer to provide first‑line technical assistance, manage user onboarding/offboarding, and maintain server and endpoint security.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to users via face‑to‑face, phone, or remote desktop, acting as the initial point of contact for issue resolution.
• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot antivirus/endpoint security solutions on devices and servers, ensuring policy compliance and remediation of alerts.
• Manage hardware installations (computers, printers, scanners) and configure operating systems, applications, and encryption on end‑user devices.
• Maintain user accounts, access controls, and document system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
• Monitor and optimize server infrastructure (Windows, Linux/Unix) and participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in systems engineering or a comparable role, with hands‑on experience designing and managing IT infrastructure.

Required skills

• Antivirus/endpoint security solutions (mandatory).
• Operating systems: Windows, Linux/Unix, macOS.
• Scripting and automation: PowerShell, Bash.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Virtualization technologies: Hyper‑V, VMware (plus).
• Cloud platforms: Google Cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Server hardware, storage solutions, and system performance monitoring tools.
