Senior Finance Specialist (Remote)

About the role

This remote position provides senior‑level financial expertise for a technology platform that coordinates AI‑driven microtasks for freelancers worldwide. You will ensure accurate processing, compliance, and reporting of high‑volume transactions across multiple payment gateways.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile financial transactions from various payment processors and third‑party gateways.
• Validate and process micro‑task payments to global freelancers, adhering to regional tax and labor regulations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records within defined turnaround times.
• Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports for audit and compliance review.
• Monitor platform fee structures and recommend adjustments to optimise revenue while staying competitive.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial operations, accounting, or payment processing, preferably within gig‑economy platforms or digital marketplaces.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote environment with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Strong understanding of international tax regulations such as VAT and withholding tax.
