Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) - Remote

About the role

Ikiplan, a full-stack fractional CFO firm, is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to manage financial planning and analysis and day-to-day finance operations for several growing US software businesses. You will work directly with the founder, Valerio Siviero, owning clients across accounting, FP&A and financial operations. The role is full-time and fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Own FP&A delivery: rolling forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, KPI reporting, valuations and ad-hoc analyses across multiple clients.
• Build and improve models linking accounting, operational data and business context to explain and predict revenue, profitability, cash flow and unit economics.
• Automate processes by configuring, improving and overseeing AI agents and automated workflows, and validating their outputs.
• Handle finance operations such as accounting, invoicing, payroll, reconciliations and month-end reporting depending on client needs.
• Typical day: 1 hour of team collaboration, 1 hour of finance operations, 2 hours guiding AI agents for month-end close, 2 hours of financial modeling and forecasting, and 2 hours on strategic projects and improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with multiple forecasting cycles; quality and breadth of ownership matter more than years alone.
• Start-up or scaleup experience, preferably in software or professional services.
• Experience with businesses generating $2M-$15M in ARR.
• Experience working with US businesses and their financial, operational and tax requirements.
• Nice to have: CFA, master's degree, Power Query, SQL, BigQuery, n8n or OpenClaw experience.

Required skills

• Superior financial modelling in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Practical accounting: US GAAP, accruals, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, reconciliations and month-end reporting.
• Hands-on operational finance: bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll, tax.
• Commercial finance experience with founders, CFOs and business leaders.
• Finance systems such as QuickBooks or Xero, and tools such as Gusto, Stripe or Ramp.
• AI and automation proficiency.
