Senior Frontend Engineer - React/Next.js & AWS (Remote)

About the role

A remote, full-time Senior Frontend Engineer position (reference AS315) focused on React, Next.js and AWS. The engineer designs, develops and maintains secure admin portals and dashboards, builds native Next.js applications and owns frontend deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure admin portals and dashboards using React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Build native Next.js applications using App Router, server components, middleware and API routes.
• Maintain server-side authentication and support improvements to role-based access control (RBAC).
• Create and maintain automated frontend tests with Vitest, React Testing Library and Playwright.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and application deployments with GitHub Actions, Docker and AWS.
• Connect frontend applications with backend APIs and services, including server-side API gateways.
• Resolve application, deployment and infrastructure issues independently and improve frontend performance, reliability and code quality.
• Contribute to technical discussions, review and validate AI-assisted code, and support product development and platform stability.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience building frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience with admin portals and dashboards.
• Ability to work independently within a small engineering team, with strong problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• In-depth experience with native Next.js (App Router, server components, server-side authentication, API routes, middleware)
• Frontend automated testing with Vitest, React Testing Library and Playwright
• CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions; GitLab CI or Jenkins also considered
• Docker and AWS for deployment
• Integrating frontend apps with backend APIs

Nice to have: RBAC experience, measurable frontend performance improvements, WCAG familiarity, server-side authentication beyond AWS Amplify or .NET, full-stack experience, AI-assisted development tool familiarity and product improvement contributions.
