Senior IT Manager

About the role

The Senior IT Manager will lead the IT department, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and driving technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee IT operations, develop policies and best‑practice guides.
• Manage IT staff through recruitment, training, performance appraisal and coaching.
• Identify opportunities to improve software and systems, and oversee budgeting.
• Ensure infrastructure security, regulatory compliance, and manage disaster recovery.
• Maintain relationships with external vendors and stay current with emerging technology trends.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar senior role (6‑10 years).
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Experience in project management and implementation of large‑scale IT projects.
• Ability to manage budgets, prioritize tasks and lead a supervisory team.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of IT systems and networks.
• Familiarity with various software applications and IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
• Experience with data management, business process management and emerging technologies.
