Senior Management Positions – Deputy Managing Director & Finance Director

About the role

Sindh Education Foundation is seeking senior leaders for two key positions at its head office in Karachi: Deputy Managing Director and Director (Finance, Audit and Accounts). Both roles are contract based and focus on steering the foundation’s operations, governance and financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Deputy Managing Director: Lead all departments, manage the secretariat, oversee Board and Executive Committee business, drive monitoring and evaluation, establish digital platforms and automation, coordinate head‑office and regional offices, and perform any additional tasks assigned by senior management.
• Director (Finance, Audit and Accounts): Oversee the day‑to‑day accounting cycle, prepare and present financial plans and reports, manage annual budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting, internal controls, government audit and tax compliance, and supervise grant and sanction processes across all foundation bank accounts.

Required profile

• Deputy Managing Director: Master’s degree in Economics/Social Sciences, MBA/MPA (minimum second division) or equivalent international qualification; at least 20 years public‑sector experience with 10 years in a senior role; age 45‑62; civil servants (BS‑19/20) may apply with NOC.
• Director (Finance, Audit and Accounts): CA, ACMA, ACCA, M.Com or MBA (Finance); relevant finance/accounting certifications; strong background in accounting software; senior‑level experience in finance and audit functions.
