Senior Medical Coder

About the role

PRG is looking for an experienced Senior Medical Coder to work the night shift in our Rawalpindi office. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses, supporting the billing cycle and maintaining compliance with coding regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians, billing teams, and insurance payers to submit timely and correct claims.
• Perform chart audits, resolve claim issues, and mentor junior coders.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and CMS regulations.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm‑D) or Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) degree.
• 2–3 years of coding experience across multiple specialties.
• Certified CPC, COC, or equivalent with a commitment to ongoing education.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ICD-10‑CM coding.
• Proficiency in CPT and HCPCS coding.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems.
• Familiarity with reporting software for coding analytics.
