Senior Medical Officer - Pediatrics

About the role

Kids Care International Hospital (KCIH) is looking for a Senior Medical Officer to join its Pediatrics team in Rawalpindi. The role provides high-quality medical care to pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, within a supportive and collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric conditions, from common illnesses to complex cases.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, including residents and interns.
• Take part in developing and implementing clinical protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Stay up to date with advances in pediatric medicine through continuous professional development.
• Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MCPS, FCPS or MD with specialized training in Pediatrics.
• Valid medical license to practice in Pakistan.
• Previous experience in pediatric medicine is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage pediatric emergencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team.
