Senior Sales & Marketing Engineer

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Senior Sales & Marketing Engineer to join its Service team in Karachi. You will be responsible for developing and executing service sales strategies across assigned market segments and countries, promoting a full portfolio of High Voltage, Transformer, and Substation Electrical Services.

Key responsibilities

• Drive service sales and business development across assigned countries, managing the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract closure.
• Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships through regular visits, engagement, and industry participation.
• Promote the complete service portfolio and deliver tailored techno‑commercial solutions aligned with customer requirements.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, forecasts, and market plans using Hitachi Energy tools while meeting sales targets.
• Collaborate with internal sales, technical, operations, finance, and legal teams on proposals, pricing, tendering, and project execution.
• Monitor market trends, technological advancements, competitor activity, and customer developments to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare sales reports, manage tender and contract documentation, and support decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, risk management, and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in technical or service sales, application engineering, field service, tendering, pricing, or market analysis within the industrial or energy sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with technical knowledge and negotiation capability.
• Ability to work independently with a strategic, results‑oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross‑functional collaboration.
