Senior Short-Term Rental Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised Senior Short‑Term Rental Operations Manager to lead daily guest and property operations for listings on Airbnb and Booking.com. This senior, office‑based position requires proven experience in short‑term rentals, serviced accommodation, hospitality or property management, with a focus on maintaining high operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across Airbnb and Booking.com platforms.
• Manage guest communication before, during and after stays.
• Monitor arrivals, departures and reservations, identifying operational risks in advance.
• Review guest profiles and booking details to flag potential party risks and decide on security deposits or additional verification.
• Coordinate smooth check‑ins and check‑outs, ensuring cleaners are scheduled correctly for each property.
• Validate cleaning photos and videos, maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Report and follow up on maintenance issues until resolved.
• Handle complex guest complaints, make decisions on refunds or compensation within company guidelines, and escalate major risks.
• Maintain accurate calendars, internal records and shift handover notes.
• Supervise and train junior operations staff, and prepare daily operational updates and weekly performance reports.
• Identify recurring property issues, propose permanent solutions and continuously improve operating procedures.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in short‑term rental or hospitality operations.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to improve operational systems and manage a team.
