Senior Software Engineer – Python

About the role

Convo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in Python to design and deliver scalable, secure backend services for its Studio platform and multi-tenant applications. You will work on building FastAPI microservices, MCP servers, and APIs that enable partner integrations and monetisation features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Python/FastAPI microservices supporting Studio and marketplace workflows.
• Expose versioned REST and MCP interfaces and manage outbound data contracts for products and events.
• Develop token-based metering, rate-limiting, quotas and audit trails for usage consumption.
• Implement authentication, authorization, tenant isolation and secure partner/API access.
• Write automated contract, security, integration and operational tests with full telemetry.

Required profile

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience, including at least 3 years with cloud microservices, secure APIs or multi-tenant platforms.
• Proven ability to deliver production-grade FastAPI services and manage API versioning, schema contracts and backward compatibility.
