Social Media Executive

About the role

MCG Technologies is seeking a dynamic Social Media Executive to lead its social presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and emerging platforms. The role combines creative content production with data‑driven optimisation, requiring rapid turnaround from concept to published reel.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end management of all social media channels.
• Develop and execute platform‑native content strategies tailored to each brand.
• Create original daily content: write captions, shoot and edit short‑form videos, design graphics, and produce reels, stories and carousels.
• Edit videos for social‑first formats with strong pacing, subtitles and on‑brand aesthetics.
• Design scroll‑stopping graphics and visual assets independently.
• Monitor trends, emerging formats, sounds and meme templates and adapt them to the brand.
• Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, impressions) and translate data into actionable decisions.
• Manage the content calendar to ensure consistent posting and timely campaign delivery.
• Engage with the audience by responding to comments and DMs and fostering community.
• Collaborate with Creative Resource, SEO Executive and Team Lead to align social content with broader marketing campaigns.
• Identify relevant industry conversations, hashtags and influencer activity to extend reach organically.
• Report monthly performance with insights and recommendations for improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies or a related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience managing social media channels with a demonstrable portfolio.
• Proven ability to shoot, edit and produce short‑form video content independently.
• Hands‑on graphic design experience using tools such as Canva or Adobe Express.
• Strong analytical mindset to interpret social media metrics and optimise content.
