Software Quality Assurance Intern

About the role

Khawaja Labs, a software company in Islamabad, Pakistan, offers a 3-month remote Software Quality Assurance Internship. The intern supports the team in checking software quality and gains hands-on experience across the testing process. The internship is unpaid, with no stipend; strong performers may be considered for a full-time role, though this is not guaranteed.

Key responsibilities

• Review application requirements and user flows to understand expected behavior.
• Run manual tests on software features and record clear, reproducible results.
• Identify, document and track defects, including steps to reproduce and supporting evidence.
• Retest fixes and run regression checks to help prevent recurring issues.
• Work with developers and other team members to clarify test findings and requirements.
• Help maintain test cases and suggest practical improvements to QA processes.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of software development and the software testing lifecycle.
• Ability to create and follow test cases based on requirements, user flows and expected outcomes.
• Careful observation and a methodical approach to finding inconsistencies and edge cases.
• Clear written communication for documenting defects.
• Familiarity with web or mobile applications and common usability considerations.
• Willingness to learn bug-tracking and test-management tools and to collaborate with developers.
• Reliable organization, attention to detail, curiosity and openness to feedback.
