Technical Support Engineer (Odoo & Python)

About the role

AHOY, a venture studio based in Dubai offering web and mobile app development, prototyping and automation services, is looking for a Technical Support Engineer specializing in Odoo and Python. You will provide technical support to clients using Odoo solutions, use your Python skills to diagnose issues and improve application functionality, and work within a support team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical support for Odoo applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly
• Assist clients with configuration, customization and implementation of Odoo modules and features
• Diagnose technical issues and perform root cause analysis on recurring problems, applying preventive measures
• Collaborate with development teams to share client feedback and suggest enhancements
• Document support cases, solutions and FAQs to build a knowledge base
• Conduct user training sessions and create instructional content for end users

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in technical support, specifically with Odoo ERP solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python programming
• Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) is an advantage
• Knowledge of Linux servers and web hosting environments is preferable
