SRE Engineer

About the role

TechnoGenics SMC Pvt Ltd is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, uptime, and performance of its security‑focused services and infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to design, deploy, and maintain highly reliable cloud systems.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot latency, availability, and error‑rate issues.
• Respond to incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
• Automate repetitive tasks and manage system configurations.
• Collaborate with software engineers to build scalable, reliable features.
• Assist in capacity planning and infrastructure scaling.
• Document configurations, runbooks, and post‑mortem reports.
• Use Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes) for provisioning.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to support production environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix command‑line tools.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenShift.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
• Programming or scripting ability in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
