Structural Inspector for Foundations & Structures

About the role

The company seeks a qualified Structural Inspector to oversee foundation, concrete, steel, and underground works on refinery or petrochemical projects for a 12‑month contract. The role involves on‑site verification of design compliance, material quality, and construction procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect all phases of concrete foundation construction, including excavation, formwork, reinforcement placement, concrete pouring, curing, and testing.
• Verify underground pipeline installation, jointing, backfilling, compaction, pressure and leakage testing, and drainage structures.
• Inspect structural steel fabrication and erection, confirming material, dimensions, welding quality, bolt installation, and alignment against shop drawings.
• Witness and document concrete mix design approvals, slump, cube/cylinder testing, and ensure compressive strength targets are met.
• Coordinate non‑destructive examination (UT, MT, PT) of welds and monitor waterproofing and protective coating applications.

Required profile

• B.Eng. in Civil Engineering with dual certification under ACI and AISC, or equivalent 10+ years of inspection experience in refinery/petrochemical environments.
• In‑depth knowledge of ACI 318, ACI 301, ACI 305, ACI 306, AISC 360, AISC 341, and AWS D1.1 standards.
• Proven ability to interpret structural, reinforcement, and underground works drawings and specifications.
