Surgical Technician

About the role

REDMI is hiring a full-time, on-site Surgical Technician based in Peshawar. The Surgical Technician supports surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, arranging sterile instruments and making sure all required equipment is available and working.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and arrange sterile instruments
• Assist with patient preparation and maintain aseptic technique
• Handle instruments during procedures and support surgeons and other clinical staff
• Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures
• Monitor inventory of supplies
• Follow safety, infection control and hospital policies
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons and other healthcare professionals

Required profile

• Demonstrated competency in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting in a clinical or hospital setting
• Hands-on experience in the Operating Room, including familiarity with surgical procedures and workflows
• Foundational understanding of medicine relevant to perioperative care and patient safety
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician or related healthcare program; certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift and position equipment, and act quickly under pressure
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
