System Technical Support – On-site IT Role

About the role
We are looking for a full-time System Technical Support professional to join the IT team at Jinnah University for Women in Karachi. The role involves delivering day-to-day technical assistance for faculty, staff and students across campus.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to support tickets, diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
- Install, configure and maintain desktop and server systems.
- Apply updates, perform routine maintenance and monitor system performance to minimise downtime.
- Provide guidance on best practices and support classroom and laboratory technologies.
- Document incidents, resolutions and escalate complex problems when needed.
Required profile
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate clearly with users of varying technical backgrounds.
- Analytical mindset to investigate root causes and improve support processes.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to work on-site full-time in Karachi.
