Systems & Virtualization Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Systems & Virtualization Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimise our enterprise infrastructure, including virtualization platforms, server environments, backup systems and cloud services. The role ensures high availability, performance, security and resilience of critical business applications such as ERP/CRM, investor portals and digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter environments, including HA, DRS, vMotion and Storage vMotion.
• Support enterprise infrastructure hosting business applications, coordinate upgrades and incident resolution with datacenter providers and vendors.
• Manage Windows Server and Linux server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and security hardening.
• Operate Microsoft Azure hybrid cloud services, manage compute, networking, storage and identity, and assist with cloud migrations.
• Administer SAN/NAS storage, Veeam Backup & Replication and Azure Backup, conduct backup validation and disaster‑recovery drills.
• Monitor performance and availability with enterprise monitoring tools, resolve incidents and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Implement security best practices, support vulnerability remediation and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, asset inventories and produce regular health and capacity reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of systems administration and virtualization experience.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on enterprise VMware administration.
• Proven experience with hybrid cloud environments and enterprise storage.
• Ability to work remotely with internal IT teams, vendors and managed service partners.
