Tax Accountant – Accounts Officer (Odoo)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Tax Accountant who will act as an Accounts Officer/Executive, handling day‑to‑day accounting operations, payments, taxation and audit support across our Pakistan, Afghanistan and UAE entities. The role involves posting entries in Odoo, maintaining ledgers, processing vendor payments and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Post daily accounting entries in Odoo, including vendor invoices, payments and tax‑related transactions.
• Maintain accurate ledgers and reconcile POS transactions and accounting records for clients.
• Process vendor, rent, utilities and other operational payments on time.
• Prepare and post payment vouchers in Odoo with complete supporting documentation.
• Coordinate tax challans and documentation for timely tax payments.
• Support preparation of sales tax, withholding tax and income tax returns for Pakistan, Afghanistan and UAE.
• Issue income tax certificates for employees and clients within deadlines.
• Provide schedules, reconciliations and reports for internal and external audits.
• Perform daily reconciliations, identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Complete ad‑hoc assignments and special projects assigned by senior accounting managers.
• Prepare financial data and reports for management ensuring accuracy and quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA or CMA are a plus.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance or taxation.
• Practical experience with accounting entries, payments, reconciliations and audit support.
• Familiarity with sales tax, withholding tax and income tax compliance.
