Technical Auditor (Telecom)

About the role

The Technical Auditor (Telecom) will join the audit team to lead the technical and information‑system audit of a telecom operator’s network, billing and mediation infrastructure. Working closely with the Team Leader and other specialists, you will deliver evidence‑based audit findings in line with the engagement’s terms of reference.

Key responsibilities

• Audit the operator’s network and billing infrastructure, including Intelligent Network (IN) billing systems, Value Added Services (VAS) platforms, core network, transmission and radio network components.
• Perform information‑system audit procedures such as system configuration review, data‑integrity checks, network‑node geo‑analysis and mediation of binary Call Detail Records (CDR).
• Analyse CDRs, conduct network traffic analysis (including busy‑hour traffic) and reconcile CDR data with billing and revenue records.
• Validate the operator’s controls against regulatory and industry standards and document findings, working papers and evidence.
• Coordinate with the operator’s technical teams to obtain data, system access and clarifications, and support the preparation of the technical sections of the audit report.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all data and systems accessed during the engagement.

Required profile

• BSc in Telecommunication, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in the telecommunications sector.
• At least three years of experience in technical auditing, including two multinational information‑system audit engagements.
• Demonstrated expertise in IN billing systems, VAS, core network, transmission and radio network.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) credential.
