Technical Lead / Solution Architect – Data & Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Lead / Solution Architect to own the design and delivery of our enterprise Data & Analytics platform. You will bridge business strategy and technical execution, defining the roadmap for a cloud‑native data ecosystem built on Azure and Databricks.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end architecture for data ingestion, storage, processing, and serving using Azure Data Lake Gen2, Synapse, Databricks Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Evaluate and select Azure services and open‑source tools, ensuring cost‑effective, high‑performance solutions.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance with Unity Catalog and Azure Purview.
• Lead migration of legacy on‑premise workloads to Azure/Databricks.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership, coding complex pipelines, optimizing Spark jobs, and defining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce coding standards, automated testing, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and business analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Work with DevOps to ensure reliable, secure, and monitored infrastructure using Azure Monitor and Databricks tools.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or solution architecture.
• 3+ years designing and implementing large‑scale data platforms.
• Proven track record building Databricks Lakehouse solutions.
• Deep expertise in Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala).
