Technical Specialist - Fraud Management & Monitoring

About the role

The Technical Specialist – Fraud Management & Monitoring is responsible for configuring, operating, and continuously improving telecom fraud management platforms. You will own the technical side of fraud detection, ensuring real‑time monitoring, investigation, and response to incidents such as subscription fraud, IRSF, SIM‑box abuse, roaming fraud, and interconnect bypass.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor fraud management system dashboards and alerts to spot suspicious usage patterns.
• Investigate, classify, and prioritize fraud alerts, escalating high‑risk incidents promptly.
• Perform root‑cause analysis using CDR/EDR data, SS7/Diameter signaling records, and network probes.
• Configure, tune, and maintain detection rules, scoring models, thresholds, blacklists/whitelists, and correlation logic.
• Integrate billing, mediation, HLR/HSS, switching, roaming, and digital channel data into the monitoring platform.
• Participate in platform upgrades, patch deployments, UAT, and regression testing.
• Compile technical evidence for subscriber blocking, service suspension, revenue recovery, or regulatory actions.
• Maintain fraud case records and produce performance reports (MTTD, MTTR, false‑positive rates, revenue at risk).
• Recommend enhancements based on emerging fraud trends and post‑incident analysis.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of telecom networks and fraud typologies.
• Hands‑on experience with fraud detection platforms and rule‑engine configuration.
• Ability to analyse large volumes of CDR/EDR and signaling data.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
