Territory Sales Manager – HoReCa

About the role

We are METRO.digital, the tech arm of METRO, a leading international food wholesaler. As a Territory Sales Manager – HoReCa you will develop and execute sales strategies to grow our business in the HoReCa segment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual targets for the assigned territory.
• Identify and acquire new HoReCa customers according to a calendar schedule, generating consistent sales and margin through market visits.
• Analyse customer data and sales history before each visit to pinpoint gaps and set clear sales objectives.
• Manage the full customer portfolio, including engagement, credit handling, follow‑up on commitments and feedback collection.
• Proactively understand each customer’s business needs and recommend suitable METRO product solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as procurement and operations to create customized initiatives.
• Maintain detailed notes and tracking sheets to monitor customer development progress.
• Participate in team meetings and sales training to contribute to a high‑performance sales culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the HoReCa or wholesale sector.
