Transaction Manager - Commercial Real Estate

About the role

Savills Pakistan is seeking an experienced Transaction Manager to join its embedded real estate team supporting a leading banking client. Based at the Bank's Head Office in Karachi, the role leads the delivery of commercial real estate transactions across the Bank's property portfolio, including acquisitions, disposals, lease renewals, relocations and portfolio optimisation. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen and has worked closely with senior stakeholders and external advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assigned transactions from brief to completion, including acquisitions, disposals, renewals, relocations, consolidations, subleases and exits, and develop strategies, delivery plans and recommendations aligned with the Bank's business requirements and Multi-Year Plan.
• Manage timetables, dependencies, approvals and deliverables, escalate material issues to the Head of Asset Management, and appoint and manage brokers, legal advisers, valuers and other consultants.
• Ensure compliance with Bank policies, delegated authorities, procurement requirements and operational risk frameworks, prepare approval papers and audit trails, and identify and mitigate risks.
• Support the Head of Asset Management with portfolio governance, pipeline prioritisation and escalation of significant matters.
• Build relationships with business, Property, Finance, Legal, Risk, Project Management and Facilities stakeholders, lead negotiations and present options to decision-makers.
• Prepare option appraisals, financial analyses and business cases, challenge adviser assumptions and track benefits against approved business cases.
• Maintain transaction records, trackers, forecasts and status reports, and contribute market intelligence and lessons learned to portfolio planning.

Required profile

• Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline.
• Typically 4+ years of real estate experience, with a strong emphasis on occupier or investment transactions.
• Practical experience of commercial leasing and transaction delivery in Pakistan is essential.
• A relevant professional qualification, such as RICS or an equivalent local designation, is preferred.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Urdu is highly desirable.

• Sound financial and commercial acumen, including option appraisal, lease analysis and business-case preparation.

• Ability to lead multiple projects independently and work in a matrixed, multicultural environment.
