Utilities Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

The Utilities Manager leads the management and maintenance of all utility systems essential to pharmaceutical manufacturing at Livewell Capsules Pvt. Ltd., a producer of empty hard gelatin capsules. The role ensures continuous operation, safety, and GMP compliance of HVAC, refrigeration, boiler and generator systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operation and preventive maintenance of HVAC, industrial refrigeration, boilers, generators and related equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate corrective actions to minimize production disruption.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logbooks and documentation for audit readiness.
• Enforce safety regulations and promote safe working practices.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to support manufacturing activities.
• Lead and supervise a team of five maintenance technicians, providing guidance and performance oversight.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in utility or engineering operations within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving abilities and experience managing a small technical team.
• Proficiency in maintenance documentation and Microsoft Office applications.
