Verification of Benefits Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Verification of Benefits (VOB) Specialist to join our healthcare operations team in Rawalpindi. The role focuses on confirming patient insurance eligibility and coverage details for US insurers, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth admission processes.

Key responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits with US insurance providers, including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and coverage limits.
• Contact insurers to obtain up‑to‑date benefit information, identify prior authorizations, referrals, and any coverage restrictions.
• Document verification results in internal systems and patient records while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate coverage details to admissions, billing, and administrative teams and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in verification of benefits, medical billing, revenue cycle management, or US healthcare insurance.
• Strong understanding of US insurance plans such as PPO, HMO, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or medical billing software.
