Account Director, Global Retail Marketing Accounts

About the role

The Account Director will lead global retail marketing accounts, overseeing creative production and procurement services. This senior position is responsible for nurturing client relationships, driving growth, and ensuring delivery against operational and financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client satisfaction initiatives, coordinating internal resources and external suppliers.
• Manage on‑site and off‑site account teams, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Develop and execute growth strategies, building annual client development plans.
• Oversee financial performance, risk analysis, contract renewal and produce regular MI reports.
• Mentor and develop team members through appraisals, one‑to‑one meetings and training.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in client services, account management or similar roles.
• Proven people‑management skills, including performance management and team leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of engaging senior decision‑makers.
• Track record of successful client and contract management in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Required skills

• Experience managing large P&L budgets, budgeting and forecasting.
• Ability to anticipate business issues and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of performance improvement methodologies and their implementation.
