Accountant – Full-time, On-site in Islamabad

About the role

Summit Agri Trade is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its Islamabad office. You will handle day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and supporting the company’s trade and logistics activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.
• Process invoices, payments, and monitor cash flow.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and budgets.
• Coordinate documentation for trade, logistics and inventory transactions.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 1–2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (spreadsheets, pivot tables, formulas).
