Senior Accountant / Bookkeeping Specialist

About the role

VASL is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant / Bookkeeping Specialist to manage bookkeeping operations for US-based clients. The position is full-time and onsite in DHA Phase 2, Islamabad, with working hours from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM PKT. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in accounting software, reconciliations, financial reporting and client communication.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping tasks for multiple US-based clients
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate general ledger records
• Handle AP and AR management
• Prepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules
• Review junior team members' work before submission
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing
• Coordinate with clients on missing information and financial queries
• Ensure data accuracy and proper documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
• ACCA / CA Inter / CPA partly qualified preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and US bookkeeping practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage deadlines and multiple client accounts
