Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will work on‑site in Karachi, handling day‑to‑day financial activities for Akber Ali & Sons. This full‑time position supports the company’s equipment solutions business by ensuring accurate financial records, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions, maintain ledgers, prepare vouchers and reconcile bank and vendor accounts.
• Assist in monthly and annual closings, prepare financial statements and support budgeting and cost tracking for service and equipment operations.
• Monitor payables and receivables, ensure compliance with internal policies, local tax regulations and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders, maintain accurate documentation and contribute to finance process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CA inter, CMA) is an advantage.
• Strong skills in financial accounting and bookkeeping, including general ledger management and account reconciliation.
• Knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements and basic audit procedures relevant to local laws.
• Prior experience in an industrial, equipment or service‑oriented organization is preferred.
