Accounting Intern – Financial Statements & Tax Support

About the role

Bestax Chartered Accountants, an ACCA and ICAEW approved employer, is looking for a motivated Accounting Intern to join its Lahore back‑office. This position offers students or recent graduates practical exposure to accounting, taxation and audit work for UAE clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Support bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Help with VAT and corporate tax compliance and filings with the Federal Tax Authority.
• Provide documentation support to the audit team and assist with client deliverables.
• Maintain accurate records and organized filing systems.
• Perform ad‑hoc accounting tasks as assigned by senior accountants.

Required profile

• Recently completed ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and IFRS/IAS standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Detail‑oriented, eager to learn and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
