Accounting Supervisor

About the role

Jeeny, a joint venture between MEIG, Rocket Internet and IMENA operating in Saudi Arabia and Jordan, is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely transaction processing and maintain strong financial controls. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the supervisor leads a team of Accountants, approves accounting entries, runs daily bank reconciliations and ensures compliance with VAT and e-invoicing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Daily completeness checks comparing bank activity, invoices received and issued with ERP postings, and daily review and sign-off of bank reconciliations
• Clearing unposted, draft and parked entries, checking GL coding, cost centers, VAT treatment and attachments, and approving journal entries, credit notes and adjustments within authority limits
• Enforcing segregation of duties, documentation standards and e-invoicing/VAT compliance, preparing VAT return workings and monitoring duplicate payments and unusual entries
• Team management: assigning accounts, vendors, customers and entities, daily stand-ups, training new accountants, writing SOPs, tracking KPIs and planning leave
• Daily close reporting to the Finance Manager, weekly AR/AP aging summaries, and leading the transaction-side month-end close and audit liaison
• Root-cause analysis of recurring errors, process automation (bank feeds, auto-matching, approval workflows) and keeping the chart of accounts and cost centers clean

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year supervising or reviewing a transaction-processing team
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; high-volume tech/marketplace experience is a plus
• Reviewer's mindset, builds checklists and SOPs, leads by standard, advanced Excel, and clear communication with teams, banks and auditors

Required skills

• Advanced, hands-on ERP experience (Oracle NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo); Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365 and QuickBooks preferred
• Workflow and reconciliation modules in ERP systems
