Accounts Assistant – Night Shift (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounts Assistant to support our financial operations during the US Eastern Standard Time night shift. This fully remote position requires a self‑starter who can work independently and maintain high accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, manage accounts payable/receivable, and update the general ledger in QuickBooks.
• Support payroll workflows by verifying timesheets, calculating deductions, and preparing payout schedules.
• Organise digital files, invoices, receipts and client accounts.
• Assist senior accountants with bank reconciliations, expense tracking and basic balance‑sheet preparation.
• Collaborate with team members and managers to gather billing details, timesheets and vendor documentation.

Required profile

• Commitment to work strictly during US EST hours (8 AM–5 PM EST).
• At least 1 year of remote work experience with stable internet and power backup.
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, ledger entries and payroll calculations.
• High self‑motivation, strong time‑management and meticulous attention to detail.
• Clear written and spoken English for effective collaboration.
