Accounts & Finance Executive (BS Accounting & Finance)

About the role

Flatgigs is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Accounts & Finance Executive to join its Finance team in Karachi. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Accounting & Finance and understands basic accounting principles. The role offers hands-on exposure to bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting and day-to-day finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Bookkeeping: record daily transactions, maintain the general ledger, prepare vouchers, invoices, receipts and payment records, and keep books of accounts accurate.
• Accounts payable and receivable: process vendor invoices, track outstanding receivables and payables, verify documents before payments, and help reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
• Bank and cash management: record bank and cash transactions, prepare monthly bank reconciliations, maintain petty cash records and report discrepancies.
• Financial reporting: assist with monthly reports, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements, and support month-end and year-end closing.
• Tax and compliance: keep records for tax and regulatory purposes and support tax filings and audits.
• General finance support: payroll entries, expense claims, budgeting and expense tracking, and other tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• BS in Accounting & Finance or equivalent; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Good numerical and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and good communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Required skills

• Good command of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
• Preferred: basic knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo or SAP, and of journal entries, ledgers, trial balance and reconciliations.
• Preferred: basic knowledge of Pakistani taxation and accounting practices.
