Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist – Medical Billing

About the role

Quantum Leap Billing is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support its U.S. healthcare clients from the Islamabad office. The role works night shifts aligned with U.S. business hours and focuses on managing outstanding medical claims and ensuring timely reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage AR follow‑ups for unpaid or underpaid medical claims and contact insurance companies for status updates.
• Investigate denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies; prepare and submit appeals, reconsiderations, and corrected claims.
• Analyze AR aging reports, prioritize claims by balance and aging category, and maintain accurate documentation of payer communications.
• Review EOBs, ERAs, and remittance advice to identify issues and recommend solutions to improve collections.
• Meet daily productivity, quality, and collection targets while complying with HIPAA guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in U.S. medical billing, AR follow‑up, or revenue cycle management.
• Understanding of U.S. healthcare insurance systems, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office environment.
• Willingness to work night shifts according to U.S. business hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with medical billing software, clearinghouses, and payer portals.
