AI Engineer (Python, React & React Native)

About the role

Flatgigs is looking for an AI Engineer in Karachi to design, develop and integrate AI-powered features into its web and mobile applications. The engineer works closely with the engineering team on Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and modern AI frameworks, building scalable AI services in Python and connecting them to React and React Native apps.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI-powered features for web and mobile applications.
• Build backend AI services and APIs using Python.
• Integrate AI capabilities into React and React Native applications.
• Develop conversational AI, AI assistants, chatbots and intelligent workflows.
• Build RAG pipelines using vector databases and implement AI agents that execute multi-step tasks.
• Integrate third-party AI services such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini and open-source LLMs.
• Optimize prompts, AI workflows and model performance, and design scalable AI architectures ready for production.
• Collaborate with frontend, backend and product teams, monitor AI application performance and stay up to date with Generative AI advances.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI or a related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and AI services.
• Solid understanding of LLMs and Generative AI, and experience with prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile development practices.
