AI Project Manager

About the role

The AI Project Manager will own the end‑to‑end delivery of AI, Generative AI and machine‑learning initiatives within the AI Centre of Excellence. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and generate measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI and GenAI projects from use‑case intake through planning, development, deployment, adoption and benefits realization.
• Define and manage scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks and success criteria.
• Maintain project governance artefacts such as RAID logs, project plans, action trackers and status reports.
• Collaborate with business, AI/ML, data, technology, architecture, security, risk, compliance, legal, vendors and operations.
• Ensure adherence to Responsible AI principles, data‑privacy, model‑risk and regulatory standards.
• Drive the AI lifecycle: discovery, data readiness, model development, validation, testing, deployment, monitoring, retraining and retirement.
• Secure approvals from AI governance, enterprise architecture, security and compliance forums.
• Monitor overall project health and report on scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks and business outcomes.
• Manage external vendors to meet quality and timeline expectations.
• Facilitate smooth transition of AI solutions to Business‑as‑Usual with support models and operational controls.
• Track and communicate business impact such as productivity gains, cost optimisation and risk reduction.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in project management, technology delivery, digital transformation or AI‑related initiatives.
• Proven experience delivering AI, GenAI, machine‑learning or automation projects.
• Background in banking, financial services, fintech or other regulated industries is preferred.
• Strong track record working with cross‑functional teams across business, technology, data, risk, compliance, security and vendors.
• Hands‑on experience with Waterfall, Agile, Scrum or hybrid delivery models.
• Excellent planning, execution, stakeholder management, communication and risk management capabilities.
