Android Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role involves developing and maintaining our Android application, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and a great user experience. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver new features that drive customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Android application with a focus on performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to implement new features and functionality.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following mobile development best practices.
• Ensure the app meets security, usability, and accessibility standards.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
• Help design and evolve the app architecture for scalability and maintainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing Android applications.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Git version control.
• RESTful APIs and JSON handling.
• Material Design and Android UI/UX best practices.
• Agile development methodologies.
• Firebase, AWS or other cloud services.
• Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger, Retrofit.
• Data‑visualisation libraries such as MPAndroidChart or GraphView.
