Architect / Roofing Estimator (Takeoffs & Plan Review)

About the role

WorkWise is looking for a detail-oriented Architect / Roofing Estimator to join its Islamabad office and support a U.S.-based roofing and construction company. The main task is reviewing architectural and construction plans and preparing accurate roofing takeoffs using ConstructConnect for residential, multifamily and commercial projects in the United States. The position is full-time and office-based, with working hours set to overlap the U.S. team.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, construction plans, specifications and bid documents
• Prepare roofing takeoffs in ConstructConnect, calculating areas, slopes, pitches, waste factors and material quantities
• Measure roofing squares, shingles, underlayment, ridge and hip valleys, eaves, drip edge, flashing, vents, pipe jacks, wall and chimney flashing, metal and flat-roofing components
• Calculate attic ventilation and understand intake/exhaust ventilation and NFVA
• Support projects and bids, review plans and check quality control

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Strong ability to read architectural and construction drawings and to calculate accurately
• Previous experience with takeoffs or estimating preferred; training offered for those with strong plan-reading skills
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work independently on multiple projects
• Strong English, both verbal and written, and willingness to learn U.S. roofing terminology and estimating standards
