Area Manager – Operations of Dark Stores

About the role

foodpanda is looking for an Area Manager to own the end‑to‑end performance of a cluster of dark stores in Islamabad. You will drive order fulfillment speed, customer experience and inventory accuracy while managing P&L for the cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all dark stores (Mart and Franchise formats) and track performance against KPIs.
• Control operating costs, reduce inventory holding and wastage, and improve Order Fulfilment Time (OFT).
• Ensure order accuracy through staff training and SOP compliance for picking/packing.
• Maintain inventory health using FEFO/FIFO, expiry management and damage control.
• Conduct regular audits for hygiene, food safety, fire safety and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
• 4–6 years of operations experience, preferably in quick commerce, dark stores, cloud kitchens or retail/QSR chains.
• Proven ability to manage multiple locations and cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of quick commerce fulfillment metrics such as OFT, nSFR and shrinkage.
• Experience with inventory principles (FEFO/FIFO) and food safety compliance.
