Area Sales Manager – FMCG

About the role

Recruit AI is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead FMCG sales operations in Karachi, Pakistan. This full‑time position requires a proactive professional who can own sales strategy, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of Order Takers and Sales Representatives to achieve targets.
• Recruit, train, and develop field sales staff for effective territory coverage.
• Design and execute sales plans that increase retail coverage and deepen existing customer relationships.
• Monitor daily sales activities, identify opportunities, and address market challenges.
• Coordinate order collection and product distribution to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular market visits to coach the team and assess on‑ground conditions.
• Prepare sales forecasts, analyse performance data, and generate reports for management.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain, marketing, and other internal departments to guarantee product availability.
• Use market analysis to adapt tactics and maintain a competitive edge.
• Maintain strong, long‑term customer relationships through regular interaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG.
• Proven ability to lead and develop sales teams.
• Strong territory‑management and results‑orientation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
