Assistant Director (Pesticide Analysis)

About the role

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is recruiting on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA), which is being set up to strengthen Pakistan's agri-trade ecosystem through better regulatory oversight, facilitation and modernisation of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will join NAFSA's foundational team and help build its systems, processes and institutional capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of analytical testing plans for pesticide formulation, residue and quality testing
• Help ensure validated methods and QA/QC procedures are followed and documented
• Review test results and laboratory documentation and support preparation of analytical reports under supervision
• Coordinate sample receipt, testing schedules and reporting with relevant units
• Support laboratory safety, equipment upkeep and records management
• Perform other duties assigned by the reporting officer in support of NAFSA's mandate

Required profile

• B.Sc. (Hons.) or Bachelor's degree (minimum sixteen years) in Chemistry (Analytical/Organic) or Agricultural Chemistry or a related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of relevant laboratory/analytical experience in pesticide testing and QA/QC
• Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail
