Assistant Director – Statutory and Tax Reporting

About the role

The Statutory and Tax Reporting Lead at EY will ensure accurate tax planning, reporting and compliance for the office. Reporting to the Associate Director, this Assistant Director‑level position combines oversight of accounting functions with strategic tax management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function, including accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations and fixed‑asset management.
• Ensure timely tax compliance, handling notices and other statutory requirements.
• Close books accurately and on schedule according to the EY calendar.
• Coordinate with external auditors to complete annual audits.
• Assist in preparing the annual financial plan.
• Drive automation initiatives to enhance accounting processes.
• Mentor and develop team members toward future leadership roles.

Required profile

• CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5–8 years of experience in a reputable organization.
• High proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and professional communication.
• Demonstrated integrity, teamwork and inclusiveness.
