Assistant Manager - Denim Machine Maintenance

About the role

Sapphire Fibres Limited (SFL), a vertically integrated textile manufacturer of cotton yarn, fabric and garments listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, is hiring an Assistant Manager for Denim Machine Maintenance. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lahore, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of denim production machinery so that machines run optimally with minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance schedules and supervise maintenance technicians.
• Monitor equipment performance to spot potential issues and coordinate with production and engineering teams to prioritise maintenance.
• Manage maintenance records and implement improvements to maintenance processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and support root cause analysis of machine failures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of machine reliability and efficiency.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and repair for textile or denim machinery; industrial textile or garment manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing plants.
• Ability to analyse technical problems, read machine manuals and work with vendors or external service providers.
• Strong communication, time management and organisational skills, able to work in a fast-paced production setting.
