Assistant Manager – Food & Water Laboratory

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead its Food & Water Laboratory in Lahore. The role involves overseeing daily laboratory operations, ensuring timely and accurate testing, and maintaining ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day laboratory activities and supervise staff.
• Ensure testing is performed according to validated methods and standards.
• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Quality Management System.
• Review and approve test reports, manage method validation, verification and measurement uncertainty.
• Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance and traceability of results.
• Support business growth by evaluating new testing opportunities and managing inventory.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of relevant laboratory experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• BS (Hons.) or MSc in Food Science & Technology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or equivalent.
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
• Strong knowledge of food and water chemical testing, method validation, and laboratory quality systems.
