Assistant Manager HSSE (Lahore)

About the role

The Assistant Manager HSSE in Lahore ensures the effective implementation of corporate safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe and compliant working environment. The role identifies and mitigates hazardous conditions, runs safety audits and provides safety training for staff and suppliers. Working with the Account Manager and HSSE Manager, the incumbent supports safety standards, manages safety-related databases and ensures compliance with industry and company regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement corporate safety policies and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and develop hazard control practices and programs for maintenance operations at service stations.
• Develop supplier safety induction systems, including training and monitoring of effectiveness.
• Maintain and operate the HSSE Management System and share knowledge with line and staff management.
• Coordinate with Regional Operational Managers to ensure consistent standards.
• Investigate incidents and accidents and submit complete reports to the Business Systems Manager.
• Manage an injury/illness database, analyse trends and develop strategies to address them.
• Develop safety audit guidelines, run performance safety audits and help the Account Manager correct deficiencies.
• Develop and coordinate site-specific safety training, keeping up with new health and safety regulations.
• Comply with company policies and perform any other duties directed by the HSSE Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in safety engineering.
• Minimum five years' experience in HSSE management systems, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and incident investigation skills; ability to conduct risk assessments and implement ALARP.
• Leadership qualities, strategic thinking and experience driving and closing out operational change.

Required skills

• Effective delivery of HSSE training.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
