Assistant Manager Internal Audit

About the role

The Assistant Manager Internal Audit will provide independent and objective assessments of the effectiveness and efficiency of the company's operations, focusing on internal control structures. This role supports senior management in achieving objectives through systematic evaluation and improvement of control activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit, review, compliance, special investigation, and agreed‑upon procedure engagements.
• Assess key risks, compare management practices to best‑practice frameworks, and ensure proper control monitoring.
• Develop and apply risk‑based sampling and testing approaches to verify control operation.
• Report findings, negotiate action plans with management, and follow up on implementation.
• Maintain a follow‑up database and perform follow‑up audits as per the approved audit plan.
• Conduct review engagements for limited assurance in medium‑risk areas.
• Assist the team with ad‑hoc analyses and assignments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification (CA, ICAEW, ACCA, ICMA).
• 5–7 years of experience in internal audit and finance.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence with databases.
• Strong skills in PowerPoint and Outlook.
